When we speak of survival of the fittest we tend to think of mammals, wildlife & anything that respires. Let's expand out horizons & think on a universal scale. The multiverse, a so far conceptual scientific theory but one that holds much popularity within various circles. Now our universe will eventually go through a life cycle which involves it's slow death, regardless of how long it takes, for that we can be certain. The multiverse theory stipulates that reality is comprised of many possibly infinite universes spawned out of preceding universes. Now we must ask the question, how would these universes be created? Who would be creating them? As far as we know thus far the universe itself holds no power or ability to create another universe, more commonly known as a baby universe. In this article I'll propose an idea. What if universes themselves are bound by an evolutionary mechanism which stipulates that in order to 'procreate' or in this case spawn baby universes, they must themselves harbour the conditions to bring about intelligent life which eventually leads to said intelligent life creating a baby universe. Therefore universes that do not manage to bring about the conditions that harbour and groom intelligent life become extinct & do not continue the universes life cycle, a sort of survival of the fittest on a cosmic scale.
